Here at Stripped we believe that everybody should have a positive experience with hair removal. Regardless of gender identity, race, sexuality or age. We hold a safe space for everybody.   

I am guessing you’re here for one of two reasons. You’re either unhappy with your current wax, or new to waxing. Either way you’re not alone.

At Stripped we work with something we like to call the HES (hygiene, efficiency and speed)  So let’s break it down.

H - We never double dip our spatulas (ew), always use gloves, we use a medical grade bed cover that is disinfected after every use, we use roller soft wax which enables us to use a fresh cartridge per client and we use a clinical skin cleanser before every treatment to prevent any bacteria spreading on skin surfaces.

E- Every wax is carried out in specific steps, therapist plot hair growth and direction and lay wax strips accordingly. No sporadic strips, every wax will be the same routine. This calls for second to technique and flawless results. No sneaky hairs left over here.

S - Let’s face it, nobody wants a wax to last longer than it should. Expect your waxer when your Wax finishes quicker than the gossip! With expert training and over 16 years experience, Sophie knows just how to get the job done with as little discomfort as possible.

Where did it all begin?

Sophie trained at the renowned London College of Beauty Therapy after leaving school. After an intense couple of years she was qualified and found herself working in various places in central London. She stumbled across an advert for Ministry of Waxing, who, at the time were pioneers in the world of intimate waxing. This is were Sophie found her passion, which mainly came from making people feel comfortable and confident in her expertise. Here’s what she has to say.  

“oh, the horror stories I’ve heard. There is little education for newly qualified therapists and waxing is completely unregulated in the UK. But, it is one of the most intimidating and intimate treatments you can have. I knew I wanted to take a different path after my first Brazilian wax. I wanted to create a space that felt safe and comfortable but also accessible for everybody. I have been doing this so long I think I could wax with my eyes closed, regardless of training as experience, what I am most proud of is the judgement free zone that stripped has created locally.
